Terms of Use

For the PawWeather apps for iOS and Android and this website, for users in the United States. Effective date: September 14, 2026.

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and MDDX Digital Solutions UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Eichholzstraße 20a, 45475 Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany (“we,” “us”). When you first open the app, you accept them by tapping “Agree and continue.” If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. The service

PawWeather shows precipitation radar, forecasts and official alerts from public weather services — in the United States, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Weather Service — together with values we compute from them, such as rain timelines, notifications and the walk traffic light. The basic features are free and work without an account.

3. Not for emergencies

Radar and forecast data are uncertain by nature, and radar coverage has gaps. What PawWeather shows and computes is not an official forecast or warning and does not replace them. In severe weather, follow the official alerts of the National Weather Service and the instructions of local authorities. In an emergency, call 911. Notifications may arrive late or not at all — for example, when your phone is offline or the app has been restricted by your operating system.

4. Not veterinary advice

The walk traffic light and all dog-related information are general guidelines for a healthy animal. They are not veterinary advice. You are responsible for your dog's wellbeing; if in doubt, ask your veterinarian.

5. PawWeather Premium

Some features are available as an auto-renewing subscription. Purchase, payment, renewal and cancellation are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. The store shows price, billing period and renewal terms before you buy.

• Renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same period and at the price then in effect unless you cancel. On the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Cancellation: in the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account. Canceling with us is not necessary and not possible; deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. After you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We cannot issue them ourselves.
• Price changes are announced by the store in advance, as its terms and applicable law require.

If you share your subscription with others through the app, they use your entitlement until you remove them or your subscription ends.

6. Your use of PawWeather

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use PawWeather for non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control. You may not access our servers other than through the app, retrieve data automatically, circumvent technical protections, or use PawWeather in violation of the law.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its design and our computed values belong to us or our licensors. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License. Weather data from U.S. government sources is in the public domain.

8. Privacy

How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PawWeather is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service or data will be uninterrupted, timely, accurate or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

We are liable without limitation for willful misconduct and gross negligence; for injury to life, body or health caused intentionally or negligently; under applicable product-liability law; and to the extent we have given an express guarantee or fraudulently concealed a defect.

For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of an obligation whose performance is essential to the agreement and on which you may regularly rely. In that case, liability is limited to the damage that was foreseeable and typical for this agreement when it was made. Liability for slight negligence is otherwise excluded. These limits also apply to our officers, employees and agents. Mandatory liability under applicable law remains unaffected. Some states do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so they may not apply to you.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts having jurisdiction at our registered office in Germany may hear disputes relating to these Terms. If you are a consumer, this choice of law and forum does not deprive you of any mandatory rights or prevent you from bringing a claim before any court having jurisdiction under applicable law. We do not require individual arbitration.

12. Additional terms for the Apple App Store

If you downloaded PawWeather from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:

• These terms are between you and us, not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for PawWeather and its content.
• Your license is limited to use on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for PawWeather.
• If PawWeather fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to PawWeather.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or third parties relating to PawWeather, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
• If a third party claims that PawWeather infringes its intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging the claim.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Questions, complaints or claims regarding PawWeather: see section 15.
• You must comply with applicable third-party terms, such as those of your wireless carrier, when using PawWeather.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Google Play

If you downloaded PawWeather from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply to the download and to purchases. Google is not responsible for PawWeather.

14. Changes and termination

We may update these terms, for example for new features or changes in the law. We will announce material changes in the app or on this website before they take effect; the effective date above shows the current version. You can stop using PawWeather at any time. We may change or discontinue features or the service; if we discontinue PawWeather, we will announce it in advance where possible.

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver.
